Following the success of the Mauritius and Montevideo pre-ICRAV workshops, we have the pleasure of announcing a new workshop organized and run separately by LCH, LGC, and RASL prior to ICRAV 2018 entitled ‘Workshop on the detection of major doping agents in hair and rHuEPOs in plasma/urine. The workshop is jointly sponsored by the Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC) and Thermo Fisher Scientific, who will be hosting the event in their Middle East Customer Experience Center in Dubai in order that we can offer a mixture of wet chemistry and classroom exercises.
The workshop is aimed at Scientists who wish to increase the breadth and depth of their knowledge around horse doping control; specifically focussing on practical and theoretical aspects of the detection of doping agents in hair and recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) in plasma/urine. The workshop is open to AORC members as well as Scientists associated with official racing chemistry. Dependent upon the number of applications, the organisers reserve the right to allocate places accordingly.
