Abstract Format and Submission

Technical information –

  1. Abstracts must be written in English
  2. Maximum of three hundred (300) words
  3. Use Microsoft Word format: Times New Roman font (size 12 minimum)
  4. Use standard abbreviations. Any special or unusual abbreviations should be written, in brackets, after the full word is used for the first time
  5. Abstracts should contain only text. No diagrams, figures, pictures, tables or charts should be included

The abstract –

  1. State whether you prefer an oral or poster presentation. The Organising Committee has the option of altering the type of presentation
  2. The abstract must contain its title and the name(s) of the author(s)
  3. The lead author should be named first; with their full details (title, qualifications, organisational/academic affiliation, address and e-mail) supplied at the bottom of the abstract. All correspondence will be with the lead author
  4. For oral presentations, if the lead author will not be presenting, state who the presenter will be
  5. The above information is excluded from the 300 word limit
  6. The abstract should cover the following aspects:
    1. Purpose and/or relevance of the information to be presented
    2. A brief description of methods, if pertinent
    3. A summary of results
    4. Statement of conclusions reached

Submission –

  1. The submission deadline is: 16th October 2017
  2. Abstracts should be emailed to Mrs: Jan wade at                                                                                        On the subject line state: ICRAV abstract – (lead author’s name) – (title)
  3. Authors will be notified of acceptance by 1st November 2017.
  4. After an abstract is selected for an ICRAV presentation, the Organizing Committee expects the author/s to produce a quality manuscript and submit the same by 12th December 2017
